  • 80g Flora Gold
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, crushed
  • 2 Tsp. (30 ml) of Fresh Rosemary, chopped
  • 1 Large Chicken
  • Robertsons Chicken Spice
  • Fresh Rosemary to Garnish

Variations: For this recipe you can use a tablespoon of basil pesto instead of the Rosemary.


for flora country roast chicken

  1. Line a large roasting pan with baking paper. Combine the Flora Gold, Garlic and Rosemary in a bowl.
  2. Using your hands, loosen the chicken’s skin. Spoon the Flora Gold paste under the skin and rub between skin and the flesh. Place the chicken on a plate. Cover the chicken and refrigerate it for 30 minutes. Remove it from the fridge and sprinkle with a little chicken spice.
  3. Roast the chicken in the oven at 180 degrees for 45 minutes or 1 hour until golden brown. Make sure the chicken is cooked through.
  4. Garnish with sprigs of fresh Rosemary.

Tips: For a healthier roast chicken remove as much skin as possible. Cover roasting dish with foil to keep the chicken moist whilst roasting.
