for 6 persons Ingredients

  • 100 ml Flora Gold, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 10 ml freshly minced ginger
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 -2 small red chilli,
  • 15 ml chopped lemongrass,
  • Grated rind of 1 lime
  • 2 kgs Large Prawns
  • Juice from 1 lime
  • 65 ml chopped coriander
  • 250 ml mayonnaise

Preparation (for 6 portions)

for summer grilled prawns

  1. Place melted Flora Gold, garlic cloves, ginger, onion, chilli, chopped lemongrass and rind into a food processor and process until finely chopped.
  2. Place clean deveined prawns into a bowl. Add the marinade, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. Meanwhile, stir juice from 1 lime, and coriander into mayonnaise.
  4. Thread Prawns onto bamboo skewers. Cook on a preheated barbecue grill over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, turning until cooked through. Serve prawns with coriander mayonnaise.
